Whiteman Falls & Red Man Soars

We decided not to climb today. On our first view of Whiteman's from the side, we noticed a crack through the P2 column and the bottom part of the ice was displaced forward. As we neared the base, a football size chunk of ice came shooting down from the top of the P1 belay cave. We noticed snow mushrooms falling off of side walls from the warmer temperatures and snow/ice shelves collapsing into the pools making the holes larger on our descent, but still passable. It felt cooler in the canyon, but was +8 degrees C back at the carpark around 1pm.
