Quick Observation

A short sled trip to the notch, we got to see a small avalanche cycle, click on the avalanche tab to see more! Near 0 degree's at valley bottom but -8 degrees at 1400m. Not much wind effect on the surface snow and quite a bit more new snow (35cm) once you are out of the highway corridor and a bit higher.

Avalanche Information

A cycle of natural avalanches up to size 2 but mostly 1 and 1.5 was very apparent in the valley leading beyond bryant lake. It was often loose dry avalanches starting in rocky areas and running hundreds of meters but in some places it was a very soft slab about 35cm deep. We did not directly witness any but they were likely in the past 24 hours.
