Test profile @ 1680m, NE aspect Snowpack depth was 110cm Storm snow interfaces were very reactive down 20cm and 30cm on 4mm stellar crystals. No slab at this time. Above 1600m, there is a supportive crust down 60 cm, underlying low density storm snow (F-4F). No compression test results on the crust, the new snow appears to have bonded well to it. Even without a slab, the present surface instability could have consequences in steep, confined terrain.
