Doughnuts in Down Pants.

<p>We sledded and skied up Nordstrom Creek today. You still have to think light thoughts not to hit stumps and rocks (we hit a few on both skis and sled) but we still found some great riding and turns. We noticed some cracking while sledding and whumphing when we ski toured. We suspect the weak layer that formed before last week's storm was the cause of all this. When we dug a pit at treeline around 2260m we found the total snowpack to be around 140 cm. We also tested for propagation potential and as expected, found the weak layer down 35cm and reactive - it was a mix of faceted snow crystals and sun crust. To minimize our risk we stuck to low angle slopes and avoided steep convex features.</p>
