Hector South Peak

We found deep blower powder conditions in the Hector South Peak area today, so far the best snow I've skied this season. The new snow was knee to waist deep.
Today had moments of insane wind and heavy snowfall mixed with random moments of clear calm sky.
The bottom 200m of vertical from the highway is still very thin and walking down some sections seemed more reasonable than skiing but you can skin no problem. The main runout path up there is still too thin to ski down with all the ripped out timber, and it will take a large avalanche event or several more big snowfalls before it's worth skiing that section.
