Top 1cm of snow was moist in the forest first thing this morning while there was a 1cm MFcr in non treed areas. Top 1-2cm of snow becoming moist through the day. Sky was broken with the occasional scattered period. Temperatures were +4 at 1400. Winds were moderate gusting to strong from the south and we observed moderate blowing snow both on the road and at ridge top. There were many “pinwheels” on the slope from previous days.
Ice was plastic and sun effected. Dry lines were available. Watch for falling ice/rocks as it warms up in the day. Climb was in easy (WI5ish) condition.
