Sled mission. Quick pit on N side of Fraser. NE end of lake above plateau. Wanted to punch through the gully above where the huge cornice on the ridge always forms to try to get a view but vis dis not permit. Found around 10cm of storm sitting on 8cm or crusty garbage which was sitting on a strange 15 cm mix of a powdery icy cluster f*** (seems like during the course of the event it rained and snowed and rained and snowed and it got all mixed up together) which was bonding well to a tiny <1cm very hard rain crust. Initially the rain crust was our main concern as it sits 3/4 of the way down the entire snow pack but we slammed on it and only produced results on 22 between the top crusty garbage and the strange ice fluff combo . I suspect unless things really change that these will be our layers (At 55cm) to watch for this season.
