Quick Observation

19-23rd spent in the north T. We had some great turns. On the first day, We dug to find the SH down about 50-80. We had some hard resistant planar results. We skied steep to Mello trees with no instabilities. On the second day, a large storm came in and dropped 60+cms in the area. We skied trees and noticed some instability in the new snow as we backed off a bit. The new snow created some deep and hard trail braking with 70+ cm foot pen. The snow came in upside down and left a temperature crust up to 1400m for the following day. The sky cleared a bit and the trail braking remained very deep and soul-crushing. The new storm snow seemed to have some slabbing properties as we made our way to the alpine. We remained conservative in our line choice. The new snow needs some time to settle out. Great couple of days out in the mountains.
