Day started with clear sky and cool temps -7 at 1500M at 10am with moderate to strong SW winds. Cloud cover dominated by 11:30 with temps rising quickly to 0 by 14:30 at 1700M. We experience many settlements breaking trail on polar aspects. We stuck to low angle supported terrain in the open TL and skied some steeper small features with no terrain traps in the upper BTL. We were able to trigger a size 1 avalanche on the North aspect in 35 degree terrain. Crown was 65 cm deep and released on buried surface hoar. propensity for propagation was good but crown width was defined by the shape of terrain and size of feature. Keep it simple out there North aspects will be spicy today with warm temps.
