Quick Observation
Fun but mixed bag of conditions depending on elevation. Major crust between 0-20 cm below snow surface everywhere we went (took summer trail to cabin). Powder on-top of crust had no cohesion, so fun skiing when deep enough but terrible skinning across slopes. Fun skiing to be had from ~1100m and up where enough accumulation had occurred. Below that was bushy and icy.
Avalanche Information
Spotted a small natural slide (photo) off the east face of the peak above the cabin that had likely occurred after Fridays snow fall. We did not notice the slide on Saturday, but it was windy, suggesting the crown in the image was covered by some wind redistributed snow. We did not observe slab formation today while skiing up the ridge to the peak, but with the crust everywhere, seems like some slab formation could result in these.
