Skied some cold laps at Tryst today. The guts of all main chutes skied alright but it was still very thin with lots of sharks lurking on the sides. Of note, we were able to ski cut a SZ1 skier's left of the last chute all the way to the ground. Felt very unconsolidated with 20cm + of basal facets. Getting dragged in these rocks would be nasty. Did a very quick CT. Photos attached.
Did a very quick Compression Test. Height of snowpack was 90cm. Take it with a grain of salt, this was a bit rusty. Got a Sudden Plannar CTE 5 15cm down on what seemed to be a surface hoar layer, then a CTM 4 35cm down on facets. Felt touchy.
