Quick report

Avalanche awareness course. Sunny and clear skies all day. Decent freeze last night with very warm temperatures below 8k. Above 9k snow surfaces stayed cool thanks to light breeze. No natural slab activity. D1-1.5 with a couple possible D2 wet loose avalanches. This included Gunsight Pass, Man/Virginia east faces, and looking through binoculars at Upper Hoback and Gros Ventre. Possible D2 wet loose were on very steep rocky terrain W and S aspects. Found propagation on a N aspect at 9300'. 

Snowpack

Dug a pit at 9300' on a N aspect. ECTP22 down 56cm (22") that failed below well preserved surface hoar with 1-2mm facets (dry). Slab quality above December drought (1/4) layer is firm 1F hard and widespread. Melt freeze crust on surfaces below 8k.
