Great day skiing at Log Cabin. We skied up to about 1600m before turning around. In the alpine, we found a mix of 2-3cm thick breakable windslab, some pockets of powder, and firm but not hard snow. Once we descended to more sheltered glades, we got exceptional boot top powder. We dug a pit around 1250m E/NE aspect and found a pretty solid snowpack. Doing an extended column test didn't result in anything. Prying on the back of the column, a slab 25-30cm broke on a mostly planar interface, but it took some prying. Everything below this slab was knife/pencil hard. Alpine winds were consistently blowing over the top of log cabin and downslope to the E/NE and we noticed a fair bit of snow transport.
