We had a couple of morning laps in brooks trees. The day was mostly overcast/foggy but blue sky was briefly spotted before the cloud rolled back in around 11:00. We stayed bellow the summit ridge to stay out the southerly wind so we can't say if there was wind slab forming in the alpine. Wind was drifting snow above ~1400m. The snow in the trees skied great with no wind affect and no signs of instability. Crust/refrozen tree bombs became noticeable below ~1150m. Happy New Year!
