Did a quick lap on the Wapta/Bow Hut Glacier with our high point being around 2750m. We found better than expected snow. Up on the icefield it was mostly wind pressed but it had patches of shallow powder. The lower glacier was holding some great powder snow and if you worked the terrain there were good turns to be found all the way back to the lower basin before heading flat back to the canyon. Access is good, but Bow Lake is currently a bit annoying as it had a lot of uneven bare ice. The ice cave is in great shape and you can now crawl out the other side. Day started cold but ended warm and there was a light breeze on the icefield.
