Figuring out the best way to travel on hard surfaces ⛸️

No form of travel was ideal today as we dabbled with tricky sidehilling on sleds and slippery skiing on crusts. In the end we resorted to walking on the snow :(
There were small pockets of soft snow in the trees and some small wind slabs along ridgelines that were really hard to get moving (they were not reactive). We were cautious with open north facing trees, even though we didn't see evidence of the persistent slab problem today.

Terrain Ridden
Dense trees.
Terrain Avoided
Convex slopes.
Snow Conditions
Crusty, Hard.
