Crowsnest Powder Riding!

We rode in to Mt. Colthard today. Were expecting heavy snowfall from the Environment Canada warning but it never materialized. Winds were calm to light out of the north-west with a localized wind slab forming at ridge top which we felt a settlement on while skinning up. We decided to avoid this by staying off the ridge and venturing below where the snow was unaffected by wind and very good quality skiing. There was about 50 cm of storm snow and we did not observe any new avalanche activity from the last 24 hours.
