Nordic backcountry on Fraser Lake

Nordic backcountry ski to the end of Bryant/Fraser lake. We stuck to very mellow terrain. Snow conditions at treeline and alpine were consistently very hard and crusty. A quick pole test at 2pm on the south aspect slope overlooking Fraser Lake found that the top 3 inches of snow was soft and warmed from the sun, overtop of hard windpacked snow.
