Quick Observation
Started reigning in our terrain choices before we even left the parking lot. Yesterday’s MIN from Hilda’s (skier triggered Sz1.5) gave us a heads up of what to expect. Lots of whumpfing and shooting cracks breaking trail through the trees. Up to 60cm new storm snow. HS 225 at the ridge top around 2000m. Very unstable snowpack right now even though the storm snow has barely formed a slab due to its very low density. Hangfire on the fracture lines was releasing sudden planar. Ski quality is incredible, just make ultra conservative terrain choices
