Wildhorse Creek

South Rockies

We skied N facing aspect (1800 - 2400m) that varied from 20cm of dry powder to an icy slide bed surface. Rapid warming today caused the glop stopper to be pulled out to keep us moving happily at lower elevations. No instabilities found today and more recent storm snow seem to bind decently well to the crust found below. Also, quite supportive boot packing which was welcomed. There was evidence of old slide debris and trauma tots littering the slope below steeper exposed faces on all aspects, which are now covered with 5ish cms of fresh. Even had some blue-ish skies!
