Hanging Lake Laps

Wet and early season conditions on the skin track up. Conditions started to improve around 1000m. The snow around the lake was better than expected. It was heavy west coast pow but a lot of fun. Started to see some signs of the snow getting wind affected above tree line. It was windy and cold so we decided to stay lower and not go for the peak. Jumped around some flat spots looking for any whumphs or cracks but it was stable. Snow was good on the way down and not reactive at all. About 20 other people in the area and no signs of avalanches from any ski tracks. Ski out went from lots of fun from 1450m-1050m, to manageable from 1050-950m, to pretty terrible and rainy from 950-880 (parking lot).
