Oboe East

msulkers, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM
<p>Wednesday night winds pressed windward surfaces esp near ridgetops into firm windslabs over lower density snow which is facetting under a strong temp gradient. Lee asp are variable asp from NW through N to East and have new wndsl in alpine especially just below ridgetops. Cornce tabs fragile and many small natural slab releases just beneath them. Lots of whumpfing and cracking in alpine on lower.angle slopes. The whole snowpack condition changes BTL where wind slab disappears and ski pen rises to 45-50 cm in light facetting loose snow. Some sluffing on steeper pitches but no cracking or whumpfing observed BTL. Supported slopes on Cowboy NW skiing very well too.</p>
