Poking around Serratus

amaheu, Sunday 4th February, 2024 5:00PM
Short wander around the W face of Serratus. Noticed evidence of wet slab/loose wet cycle from earlier in the week on the flight in but nothing exceeding size 2 and nothing that looked fresh. Snowpack looks even thinner than in the WB area if that's possible. Many crevasses visible and very little to no snow BTL. Strong 50+ kph NE wind and wind transport all day. In wind loaded areas, the crust and saturated snow form the last rain event is found more than 50cm deep while the crust is hard and fully exposed in scoured areas. See test profile in the pictures
