Excellent conditions on Pulpit 1. Dug a pit on the ridge between N and S aspects, lee side. No results on ECT - although we found first 50cm off ground to be depth hoar. Consistently probed HS 195cm + throughout the day. S aspects skied very well but you need to choose your line given a solar crust (non issue near trees). Slough was manageable even though we skied 38deg and didn’t move very fast. Skied back down last chute on lookers farthest right (E aspect). Still HS of 195 but top was faceted out and dry - slough management was way more important here as it carried mass. Skied the path while circumventing the start zone. Guts was firm due to prior slough having formed up / but sides and pillows were amazing. Had the place to ourselves today ...
