I skied in the Skypilot zone yesterday 20/12 & today 21/12. Yesterday there was 25cms and strong ridgetop winds. South aspects had a buried suncrust that still skied well & then anything shaded was great. Today we stayed to more sheltered aspects due to high winds. We avoided any windward aspects & didn’t feel any slabs. No signs of instability. I would imagine the alpine and windward features would tell a different story. Cold management was a huge factor we considered with short transitions in sheltered areas & skiing one at time feature to feature paired up. We also spaced out approaching under any convexity and possible rocky/thin to thick features. The skiing was amazing
