Skied Honeybronze in Mariot basin with 20-30cm fresh snow (above ~2000m) on a supportive crust. New snow appeared to be bonding well to the crust below, and did not find evidence of any hard wind slabs. Snow was loose and dry.
Skiing was good down to the lake, although snow depth quickly decreased to ~5cm at the lake. Dust on crust up until ~1700m.
Access road was slow but doable with many creek crossing and very low snowpack on the trail through the steep trees.
Snow on the south slope facing cayoosh (top of rock n roll) appeared thin and more consolidated with some solar effect today (although only observed as we walked along the ridge).
Many size 1-2 old wet loose avalanches throughout the basin, particularly on the south facing avi paths that you pass on the ski in.
