Skied St.Nich, both summits of Olive and Gordon from bow lake on Sunday
- Lake crossing was fast with refreeze in the morning, but had 6-12 inches of water in the afternoon/evening overtop of the ice for most of it. Personally I wouldn't advise traveling at the end of the day for much longer or at all.
- Canyon had good coverage and en-route to bow hut only had to take skis off for a couple short spurts to cross creeks or rocks.
- Ski quality was amazing above bow hut, our party and others skied multiple aspects approaching 40 degrees with no signs of instability aside from small dry loose/sluffs of max size of 0.5. 5-15cm of blower powder off the faces of Olive, St. Nicholas and Gordon and on the Wapta with really no wind affect or surface crust. Snow became heavy/wet around bow hut and below on the way out but still made for some fun turns.
- Lots of evidence of old wet loose slides from the previous warming cycle, but only observed a cornice failure off of Jimmy Simpson early in the morning en-route to bow hut (unable to observe full size).
- Great coverage on the icefields and easy travel!
