We found 40 cm of soft snow that led to ample face shots over the day. We looked for wind effect on the ridges and saw evidence of snow distribution but the snow remained soft without slab properties. The only avalanches we saw were loose wet and dry from when the sun was out in the morning. Digging down, the 40 cm of snow is resting on surface hoar crystals so it will be more concerning when slab properties form.
