Similar story to the Jan. 14 report, though wind affected snow was starting to become more prevalent, especially ridge top (a trend that will likely continue). Calm bluebird day and stayed just cold enough; couldn't ask for better weather!
Skied the open slide path and overall was great skiing on powder, though the crust was noticeable at times about halfway down. Might be better in the trees. Coverage is still spotty through the bottom 1/4 but better the further south you are. Definitely manageable.
Had eyes on the size 2 on Rowe mentioned in that MIN, as well as a bit of sluffing on the Summit Knob side in the fingers. Posting Saturday AM and it's definitely windier in the park today -- watch for wind slabs forming.
