Putzed up the gondy today to see what was going on. Wet snow surface up to about 1100m, dust on crust in the trees, and boot-deep powder in open areas. Maybe 30-40cms of new snow at 1400m. Lots of wet slide debris below treeline. We got a brief window of visibility near treeline and saw widespread evidence of a natural cycle across most if not all aspects in the alpine. The new crust is thin and still wet at lower elevations (exposed by wet slides and sluffs). We didn't dig at higher elevations but found it to be supportive while skiing in the trees. no photos today unfortunately, vis window was short and was just a quick mission. 4 washouts on the Sky Pilot Valley Rd, 3 requiring removing skis :( should fill back in next time they groom it.
