There is a fair amount of mud and ice to cross before you find snow at Lucille. But while low elevations melt out, upper areas have had a small refresh with about 20 cm dry snow in the alpine. This new snow has formed into windslabs along ridge lines. More snow was falling today as we rode but while it had not piled up yet but we will be watching how the wind redistributes it. For now, it just made for very flat light so we retreated to the open trees near the cabin.
