Great day poking around Hanging Lake today, skiing some short low angle runs on SE and W aspects. Found conditions to be quite touchy on both aspects, witnessing shooting cracks and ski cutting some small rolls producing easy sz. 0.5 results on the new storm interface (down 20-30cm). Also noticed a couple recent sz. 0.5-1 natural avalanches on the way in, which we believe were from yesterday or last night.
We did a quick compression test at 1590m on a SE Slope, with the following results:
CTE3 RP down 22cm
CTM18 down 45cm
The temperature throughout the day was around -4.5, with Light SW Winds.
Keep your heads up and have fun out there everyone!
