Seaton on my sled
AvCan Northwest,

Today we rode Seaton basin. We've been keeping an eye on the snowpack here since the beginning of the season. While most of the NW inland has a persistent surface hoar layer down approximately 60 cm, we haven't been seeing this layer as widespread or reactive in the Seton area. Today's snow profiles had no significant results. There were a few old (48-72 hrs), small, loose point release avalanches out of steep terrain that didn't pull out any slabs and acted as good slope tests. These results gave us the confidence to move and play in more complex terrain. The snow was good and the riding was fun. Braaap braaap
