Allen Creek

marshall.dempster, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

On our travels today we encountered a very reactive and energetic snowpack. We triggered 4 sz 2 slab avalanches on our chosen rout up on the ridge crest. These ranged from 40/100cm in depth depending on how much wind loading had occurred on that particular slope. All were N, N/E lee features. 3 of the 4 were remotely triggered from 15-20 meters. We were also able to recreate these results on small wind loaded convex rolls with our sleds
