Gymnastic Gin-bouree

Our first full day in the Sea to Sky region and my goodness did you guys deliver the goods! After doing some mental and physical gymnastics to clamber our way over ~36 creeks on the way up the hanging lake trail (not that anyone was counting), we broke out of the trees to well preserved dry fluffy powder. The skin track to the top of Gin peak is well established and smooth sailing. We dug a pit near the summit on an ENE aspect looking for wind slab, but alas could not find a single instability! With this in mind we scurried up to the top and cruised down the west face. The skiing was phenomenal! We could not get anything we jumped on to move at all, and even the stuffing was minimal. The slope above the lake is still a bit sporty with the combination of trees and creeks, and also well tracked. From the lake down is a track that puts the Olympic bobsled course to shame, but we had an amazing day.
