Disease Ridge

We skied up the lower part of Disease Ridge today and did not hear and whumfing or see cracks forming on our way up. New snow wasn't bonding well to lower layers that were about 40cm down but mellow slopes in the trees felt stable.
Part way up the ridge there was obvious wind loading of NW slopes looking into Body Bag bowl with cornices forming on Disease ridge. We did a ski cut at about 1950M elevation on a north west facing, 40 degree slope and triggered a size 1 slab avalanche that ran about 200m. It ran on the crust layer at 50cm and minimal effort was needed to produce cracks and trigger the slide.
Unfortunately my phone was dead so I don't have pictures but the crown was ~50cm deep and cracked up the ridge line for about 20m. We did the same test on a 30 degree slope, same aspect and elevation and had no result.
