Paget Glades Ski Conditions

Marcus Baranow, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Spent the last 3 days at Paget Glades watching the snow change and seeing if I could ski cut out small isolated rolls, (see avalanche report from yesterday). Skiing in the area is supportive now and good fun for those looking for some more mellow glade/tree skiing. The snow depth averages around 60cm but there are still some thin spots (20cm) around larger trees and some much deeper pockets up to 110cm were measured. The on ground facet layer ranges from 5cm to 30cm. We mostly stayed in more mellow terrain but did poke into the short steeper stuff just above the summer trail to see what was going on. The snow went from loose and supportive on the 14th to supportive and fast for skiing today. Plenty of people there today and most of the better skiing pitches now have tracks in them but the longer, more open, lowest angle zone that is usually tracked out most years only has our two tracks when we left around 1:30pm.
