Went for a walk with the skis hoping more snow was going to fall but alas. It is still early season conditions with a shallow snowpack.
Possibly not enough snow to work with for a reliable compression test... A hard melt-freeze crust is present 10cm down. About 7cm thick of a rain crust present from base.
Morning: 2cm new snow at parking lot, S-1, rimed pp, Light SW winds gusting Moderate 10:20am: overcast, S-1 to S1 for 20min, S-1 to nil thereafter Noon: on and off flurries, graupel observed 2pm: broken clouds, nil snow, 1.5 degrees, Light S winds There was no rainfall.
Na size 1-1.5 observed on NE ALP slope on 2024-11-17 at 1400h off of Stanley Headwall
