Almost sunny in a.m. gave way to cloudy in p.m. but combined with low winds allowed for some alpine obs. Evidence of slabs to size 2 failing last night perhaps in response to mod/strong winds. Deposition still visable esp below steep convexities but covered by last 12hrs snow. Wind press common in open areas but also around treeline. Wind features show wind directions from E theough SW. Near ridgecrests and ribs qinslabs to 45cm observed. Ski pen varied from 8-25 cm in ALP and some TL areas. BTL and in lee zones ski pen to 55cm. Rode open trees mostly on steeper slopes. No cracking but some dry loose above 35 deg. Aome whumfing and settlement in meadows but seemed to result from thin windpress over low density stellers. Saw a few remote triggers on convexities near up and down tracks. Largest at size one, 15cm crown 30m wide and running 35m doqnslope at 1800m due N asp.
