~10cm of new snow sat on the firm rain crust between flute and cowboy ridge, this snow has bonded poorly to the crust and in many areas were starting to facet.
During the day it warmed to near zero along cowboy ridge, the light fluffy snow we had it the morning had started to crust over, and become damp and heavy.
Banana Chute skied well, there was 20-30cm of new snow poorly bonded to the rain crust, It was easy to get this new snow to move in small sections under ski, but hard to get it to propagate.
Banana Bootpack is thin near the top with alpine ice in some areas. crampons are strongly recommended for it.
