Deep snow conditions at higher elevations in Manning. No new avalanches seen and insufficient slab properties for the recent storm snow in test results (ECTN).
On Dec 30/31 we had a widespread avalanche cycle... is it over for the the Dec 26 surface hoar or will this preserved (and easily seen) layer come back to life again?
We skied conservative lines.
