Shoulder of Anif peak (Mulligan)

curtis.bennett, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

We originally set out to ski a chute off the summit of Anif but on approach from the North East ridge we found substantial wind loading. We stuck to tree line but I still managed to remotely trigger a storm slab about 40cm deep and 20m across above our skin track. No one was caught but we turned around to descend the ridge. I then purposefully ski cut a convexity which ran 30-90cm deep and 30m wide. Once we descended into the bowl we found no more wind slab and great skiing.
