Plan was to go up Hector access headwall, up to Andromache peak, ski north glacier and out Noseeum. Overnight freeze (-2 deg at 630am) was enough for fast travel to headwall. Skis on to base of second waterfall, no crampons. On solar, top 5 cm moist on hard crust to top Andromache. Hand test at 2910m at start zone for north glacier descent showed a SSL with easy-mod shear 25cm down on preserved stellars sitting on pencil crust. Ridge was loaded from south with recent snow/wind. Due to steep rollover onto glacier and inability to determine how far the SSL developed, we backed off and still had great skiing on solar back down ascent route.
