Skied a SE aspect this morning , no signs of instability but some cross loading near ridge top due to SW winds
Warming and cooling was subtle but enough to start a soft melt/freeze crust on the top of the snowpack from 1800m down. Winds were moderate SE when we dropped in.
Snow profile at 1700m HS 200cm
CTM16 (BRK) down 40
CTH25 (BRK) down 65
ETCN (BRK) down 65
Our results backed up our confidence in skiing through the 35 degree start zone. Great riding!! Thick alder gully ride out to power line. Watching what the temperature does in next day or two..
