Didn't have high expectations for the day but it turned out great. Lower elevations (below ~1500m) had developed a 3-4cm crust. Wind crust on some exposed slopes at treeline but no evidence of wind slab. Skiing was excellent with 15-20cm preserved powder above a hard crust. There was some serious surface hoar sitting on top of the powder on all our runs. Spotted a small release on a shallow convex slope on a N aspect.
