Tszil

Today on March 29th we found good skiing on the Tszil glacier. There was 5-20 of new snow on the crust with isolated pockets of soft (4F) windslab. The new snow tappers quickly around 1700m. The crust was 5cm thick at 2200m and the snow was dry underneath. The crust was supportive all the way to the lake (1600m). HS on the glacier is 320+. Our original plan was to ski Heart Strings as well, but skiing below 1600m in the trees (or anything but a summer trail) would be heinous.
