We skied a NE aspect in the Southern Duffey Zone. At the ridgetop (2100m) we found ~80cm of consolidated wind affected snow. On Saturday DEC 29, it rained up to at least 2000m. The snow was variable but supportive from 2100 - 1800. On another NE aspect, we found excellent skiing quality from 1900 - 1600 at treeline. The vegetation was anchoring some soft snow nicely.
At ridgetop the cornices are still generally small and still forming. Feels like a good snowpack for steep lines.
