Skinned up to Singing Pass via Singing Pass trai. Found 10cm on new wet heavy snow down low, and 20-30cm new snow in the pass itself. Winds were extremely high gusting up to 100km/h. According to a party we passed on the way out from K&C hut, High winds in the alpine created large, thick windslabs on cowboy ridge and Oboe up to a meter thick. Due to these hazards our group decided not to skin up the low angle sloped to Oboe, and turn back down the singing pass trail.
