Trespass

South Rockies

Skiing was better than expected- heavy but still soft. There was more wind effect on the north side of trespass, even in the trees, than the south. Wind effect made snow a bit heavy but there was no wind slab in the trees. As you got down towards the road the snow got heavier. Ski penetration was about 10cm on a supportive layer. Even the telemarker never punched through that layer while skiing. Noted large cornices on many ridges in the surrounding area. Good coverage, most downed trees were covered, not too much bushwhacking in the exit gully
