A cold start to the day on the Athabasca Glacier, it was -16C in the parking lot at 4am. Once the sun came out it did warm up a little, but it was still a very cold day in the alpine for spring. It had warmed up to -2C in the parking lot by 3pm. The Athabasca Glacier has a good approach, most crevasses are filled in and it was easy to find a good route up. The riding was ok, we didn't exactly come here for pow turns, although we got some good soft turns on the lower section of the Athabasca Glacier. The views on the other hand where awesome and it was a great day to be summiting an 11,000er.
